Social Conditon:
- Orphan child living with unemployed mother in slums of Iraq, father was killed during the 2003 war. Family is of low socio economic status and living in poverty. They make ends meet by selling recyclable cans and dried bread. Zahra's mother has 5 children to support and cant afford to put them through school. The children rely on hand me downs for clothes.

Medical Condition:
- Zahra was diagnosed by doctors as being affected with mental illness. She has been suspended from school for antisocial behaviour and withdrawing herself from other children. Mental illness is often an overlooked condition which affects many post war Iraqi children. This sort of medical care is not funded by the public healthcare system in Iraq. At a young age Zahra has witnessed traumatic events. She needs psychiatric care and therapy to prevent her from further depression.
