CONGRATULATIONS to Zahraa Al Khalisi for completing the Dubai Marathon on 25.1.13. She ran 10km in 56.5 minutes beating her goal of one hour! Zahraa used the run to raise awareness about the plight of Iraqi children and the work of ICARE. She got sponsorship and raised funds for our Sponsor a Smile Project. Zahraa successful raised over AED 18,517 (approx. US$ 5,041) and the donations are still coming in! This is a huge achievement and will go a long way towards providing medical aid for needy Iraqi children. I CARE has become an international movement with more and more people embracing the power of WE concept. That is the idea that if you substitute I for WE, ICARE becomes WE CARE and illness becomes Wellness.  Thank you to Zahraa and to all those who supported her with donations, for showing us that you don't have to be a doctor to save lives.
