MARYAM's SMILE FILE
Young Maryam Abas is a child from Babylon who has been afflicted with an illness that has lead to corneal disease. She can not see so we are seeking specialist eye care and a possible corneal transplant.
Maryam lives in Barboon, an impoverished area of babel in a simple makeshift house (made of clay bricks). She lives with five other siblings but the family can only afford to put two of them to school.
Maryam's dream is to return to school once again and to be a normal looking girl. ICARE is currently sponsoring Maryam's medical treatment and specialist eye care.
