Name: Haider Saeed

Location: Al Najaf, Iraq.

 

Haider is an orphaned young Iraqi child living in poverty with his widowed mother. He suffers from brain damage and is thus intellectually challenged and unable to speak or communicate. Haider is fully dependant on his mother who is unemployed. She barely makes ends meet to look after the four children. Their financial situation is so limited that Haider's family are living in a make shift refugee resettlement (Tagawiz area) as his mother can not afford rent nor can she afford to pay for electricity. ICARE has been sponsoring Haider to help his mom pay for his ongoing medical expenses and costs associated with living with this illness.
