RECIPES FOR PREVENTION: BAGHDAD SCHOOLS

ICARE's medical team of volunteers consisting of undergraduate students from the Faculty of Dentistry at the university of Mustansiriya have successfully carried out our health promotion & disease prevention programme in Baghdad. The pioneering charitable programme was completed at Al Alawi Street Girls Primary School. Children were taught the importance of general and oral health, how to prevent dental diseases and provided with hygiene instructions. 100 children participated in the programme. Children were given free check ups and an ICARE health promotion pack consisting of gifts, oral health products (such as tooth pastes and tooth brushes), healthy foods and fun educational brochures. We would like to thank the principle and teachers of the school and all the ICARE medical team volunteers for making this programme possible. Our volunteers give up their time and expertise simply because they care.

Thank you to Dr. Mohammed Kamal Naji Alaameri, Dr. Murtada Alsamak Dr. Lubna Raheem, Dr. Afyaa Waleed, Dr. Sara Jamal, Dr. Ali Helmi Al Hayani, Dr. Hala Mustaf, Dr. Amani Hazim, Dr. Umneah Duraid, Dr. Muntadar Abdal Jabbar, Dr. Osama Basil., Dr. Shahad Al-Ebadidi and Mr.Mustaffa Abood

DARE â€‹2 CARE

"The power of "WE" is the understanding that a piece of string will
never be as strong as a piece of rope made up of many strings.

By working together we can create change. If you substitute I for WE,
ICARE becomes WE Care and Illness becomes WEllness".
