ICARE's team of amazing volunteers in Al Anbar province, lead by Mr. Mohammed Khairi, hosted an event "Let's Draw our future" in the village of Ziwiya, Hit District. The aim was to raise awareness of the rights of a child to live in an environment that's safe, free from poverty and with access to education and healthcare. The team hosted several community meetings with elders and families of the village. They also handed out gifts to the children and distributed general health and education posters. The team established a database of children not enrolled in school and those lacking documentation with the intent of helping their parents to get them enrolled. The event was a big success and attracted the attention of local and national media. Al Sharqiya Television Channel interviewed the team about their efforts. A special thanks to the volunteers who work tirelessly around the clock to provide our children with a better future.
